Rising prices and chronic unemployment were weighing heavy on the minds of voters last Tuesday. Exit polls released by The Associated Press reportedly echoed similar public opinion surveys taken throughout the campaign, with 6 in 10 voters rating the state of the economy the top issue facing the nation. The economy will take center stage Nov. 13, as Your Money. Your Matters welcomes economist Brian Turner. A director and chief strategist with Catalyst Strategic Solutions in Plano, Texas, Turner says elections can absolutely impact the economy. “Elected officials determine the legislative and regulatory oversight that will put into place over a period of time,” says Turner. “And based on how businesses and consumers feel, and the potential burdens those might place, affects their spending behavior and strategic outlook.” Tune in to TCUL's Your Money. Your Matters Nov. 13, as we engage in a frank discussion with Turner on the economy and what consumers can expect going forward. TCUL's Your Money. Your Matters is a weekly show broadcasting every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to noon Central Time.
